Apple Health

If you allow it, ski days are saved as downhill-skiing workouts. Pistr only writes — it never reads your Health data.

On the Lock Screen

A Live Activity shows the running recording without unlocking your phone.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is Pistr?

Pistr is a ski app for iPhone and iPad. It shows ski-area maps with pistes, lifts, huts and restaurants, records your ski day with GPS, splits it into runs and keeps day and season statistics. It also shows mountain weather and lets you compare days with friends you invite.

Which devices does Pistr support?

iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later.

Do I need an account?

Yes. You sign in with Apple or with an email address and password. Your recorded ski days, including the GPS track, are stored in your account so they are available on your devices and for comparing with friends.

Does Pistr work without a signal?

Recording uses GPS and keeps running without mobile data. You can download a ski area’s map so pistes, lifts and huts are available offline. Weather, friends and syncing need an internet connection.

How accurate are the statistics?

Distance, vertical, speed and run detection are calculated from GPS and are estimates. Calories are estimated too. Accuracy depends on your device, the sky view and the terrain.

Does Pistr show whether lifts are open?

No. Pistr has no live lift or piste status. The piste outlook is an estimate based on mountain weather. Always check the resort’s official information, signs and closures.

What does Pistr do with Apple Health?

If you allow it, Pistr saves your ski days to Apple Health as downhill-skiing workouts with distance and estimated active energy. Pistr does not read any data from Apple Health.

How do I delete my account?

In the app on the Account tab under “Delete account”, or by email to app-support@donner.io. Workouts already saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
